Do you know, sometime, just sometime, life can be so interesting and so full of surprises? I got to say, I'm extremely lucky to be here to experience and to witness such surprises and awfully sweet things that people have done for me.
And do you know is always nice to get surprises out of the blues, especially when you are not expecting any. That's what I learnt over the pass decades; never expect, because you will get much more in return. That's right, personal experiences taught me not to expect, and surprises will come knocking on your door! Trust me, is true. It applies to anything, friendships, relationships, studies, you name it; anything.
Well, I can't promise you it will happen right away, because it took me quite a while to get used to not expecting anything from anyone. To be honest, it was effin hard. So hard, until, it will mentally torture you in a twisted way. You would always want to expect something from that particular person just like how parents always expect their children to do well in their studies and examinations. I'm not saying expecting your child to do well is bad, I'm just saying, hint them, they will get the message. Like I said, less expectations, less disappointment and more in return. Now, I've done it, even the littlest surprises or the littlest sweetest things people done for me, always keep me up whole night or brighten me up for days, some even weeks, or months *okay, months? That's a lie.
What sweet things or surprises I've gotten over the pass years, you asked. Well, a lot.
Greetings card from a far away person
Friendship card from a friend that you least expected
A necklace that meant so much from a person
A personal stuffed toy that meant the world to a person
Pictures given to me, taken ages ago by a friend A word from a person you have not talk to in ages
A hug from a long lost friend
And especially memories that one given to me
Nice and sweet things always happen when you don't expect, so try to lower down your expectations a little bit, in order to be happier. It will always work, never did fail me. Everyone deserve a chance to be happy for a moment. :)
