After being in Auckland for 1 and a half year, this is my first time going to the fish market. Why took me so long to go to fish market? Well, I don't like fish personally, I can't really eat much seafood (kinda allergic to most of them) so I don't see the point of going to fish market. But from what I heard, they sell scrumptious and great fish and chips! Of course the fish has to be fresh, or else it wouldn't get good reviews. So we went to fish market after bungy jumping to try out the fish and chips as they situated quite near to the Harbour Bridge.
The image formed in my head with the word fish market was horrendous. I was expecting really wet and dirty market like back in Malaysia, together with the whole place stinking with fish smells (which is part of the reason I don't like eating fish). But no, I was partially wrong. The whole place ain't wet nor dirty, filled with heaps of restaurants and cafes. It was surprising clean, spacious and stink lesser. *I'm serious... And they sell all sorts of stuff, ranges from veges to frozen seafood.

We got there, found a place and quickly sat down. There were so many people around to have lunch there, despite it was almost 3pm.
After ordering, we were given a device which looks like a cellphone, but they are not. When the order is ready, it will vibrate and we would have to pick it up. Cute? Yehh, I think so too. We patiently waited for our food until I grumbled it was too slow, because I was starving! :)
Cheryn ordered fish of the day, coated with bread crumbs and chips.
And mine? Fish of the day, battered with saute potatoes. *I like it battered... :DD
They are absolutely gorgeous and yummy! *I swear.. It was filling and I was really satisfied! I do have certain expectations and this fish and chips didn't let me down. Next stop would be fish and chips in Mission Bay. They claimed they are the best in town. Hmmm, isit? We shall see...
We went back home with filling stomach, feeling satisfy and the day ends with burps..... *Burps... :p
