Since I been here in New Zealand, we have this tradition of going off to the beach for a nice barbecue, sun tanning or even just the smell of the sea to relax, before the exams. But this year, we went after the exam. Well, it wasn't as fun as last year because the lack of people and only 2 of us went into the water. This year, I decided to be more lady like, not wanting to go into the freezing cold water just want to laze around and enjoy the sun! *hearts, hearts, hearts~~
The decision has been made, we are going to Piha Beach this year, before Tian Wen leaves for Malaysia. Piha Beach was a bad bad idea for that day. I don't know why but it was cloudy and super windy that day at Piha! We didn't see any soul that day. Maybe it was too bare, or we are just not lucky. Piha beach has this mixed colour sand, black and white; the sand is way smoother than Goat Islands but it was way too windy! And the ways! Huge!! Great for surfers! We stopped by for chips and couple of ice creams. I know it's lame but the place is way too windy for a barbecue. So we had no choice but LEAVE~~
So we switch location and went to the same spot as last year, Goat Island. It was sunny and warm, but the water ain't swimmer friendly! The sea water was freezing as! But it was fun to hang around under the sun by the beach! :D

Nice food, nice weather, nice people! But sadly, pretty, gorgeous and beautiful weather doesn't last too long. It started to drizzled and we had to pack and head back to the city. That, pretty much summarize the whole beach trip for 2011. I'm pretty sure I will go somewhere else AGAIN. I will be back!
