Cheryn saw one of the blogger she followed with the ombre hair. She's been wanting a make over ever since. Because we are students in foreign country, whatever make over is too expensive for us and we didn't want to wait too long it get it done back in Malaysia. So we decided to do it ourselves - DIY ombre hair.
Due to the lack of high tech hair do materials, all we used were just a hair dye from supermarket (we chose purple), plastic bags or towel (to prevent the dye from getting to our clothes), strips of aluminium foil and hair dryer (for maximum absorption of colour) - well at least that what we thought.
Step 1: Colour flocks of hair and wrapped with strips of aluminium foil. Hair dryer was used to provide heat so the colour will be absorbed.
Step 2: After 45 mins, remove the strips of before washing.
Step 3: Wash hair until the water turn clear
Step 4: Blow dry hair and see the different

My hair
Cheryn's colour is more obvious than mine because she has a lighter shade and the purple colour is darker. So the colour show up more than mine. But the colour will continue to fade for a couple of days due to washing. My hair colour is more obvious now.
We spent only $11.99 rather than hundred over to do this ombre hair. Why spend $100 over when you can spend only $20?
