Have you ever crave for hot soup, but not wanting to get out of your house when it is pouring outside. Or mummy not around to cook for you? You can have it done on your own in about an hour - the sour and spicy soup (tom yum). Easy steps to easy and hot tom yum soup on a cold rainy day. It's healthy too!
Ingredients:
Onions, few garlic, chicken stock, veges (carrots and mushrooms), lemon grass, ginger, tomyum paste and water
Steps:
1. Boil a pot of water
2. After the water boiled, put in a chicken cube stock (or chicken stock roughly 200ml) together with onions and garlic (not too many).
3. Add 2-3 spoonfuls of tomyum paste into the boiling broth.
4. Let it boil for a bit, then add tomatoes, lemon grass and ginger into the soup.
5. After boiling for about 10 mintues, add the rest of the veges you like into the pot when you're about to eat.
6. Let it cook further for about 10 minutes. You can add your favourite noodles or rice noodles into the soup when you are ready to eat it.
And you are done, serve hot. It is an easy dish with tomyum paste and you can add whatever you like into the soup once the soup is ready. You may add meat or seafood into the soup if you like. You may also add chili powder if you like yours extra spicy. I've made mine as a soup base for steamboat later that night. Is not as hard as you think right? Easy recipes for everyone who likes to eat.
