Malaysian Cusine - Selera
Wednesday, June 5, 2013

Overdue post

Craving for good Malaysian food in New Zealand. You should definitely head Newmarket for a taste of home. Selera (Malaysian Cusine Restaurant) serves really good Malaysian food. *no joke. Selera will be my go to place when I crave for home food but there is another place and I will blog about that next time. Selera is obviously run by Malaysian and they serve individual hawker food like char kiew tiao instead of one dish of meat, vege and etc etc.

I highly recommend their chicken laksa (which is the bomb), wanton noodles and Hainan chicken rice (one of the best chicken rice I had in Auckland). Is so nice, I can melt in the food. *for real

Of course I did not finish both dishes on my own but the laksa was Edward's portion and the chicken rice was mine. As for Cheryn, she always make bad choices when it comes to food. She ordered this sour and spicy soup seafood noodle (tomyum) which was not impressive at all. It was edible but not great. *looks nice thou

I would definitely come back, because I'm a sucker for Malaysian food, and Selera serves food which makes me feels close to home. :)
